About this occasion

Prof. Gabriela González (Louisiana State College) was a founding member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, and has participated intensely within the commissioning of the LIGO detector on the Livingston Observatory (Louisiana, US) since becoming a member of LSU in 2001.
