In 2018 JPL celebrates the sixtieth anniversary of America’s first satellite tv for pc, Explorer 1.
Henry Richter began working at JPL in 1955 as an engineer and Supervisor for the New Circuit Parts Group. Later he was a Employees Engineer for the Deep Area Community after which Chief of the Area Devices Part (322). In the course of the Explorer Undertaking Dr. Richter was mission supervisor for the satellite tv for pc design, in command of JPL experiments for the Worldwide Geophysical Yr, and was liaison between the Satellite tv for pc Instrumentation Group and the Operations and Knowledge Teams.
