Multimillion-dollar beef and pork theft ring busted

Three individuals have been arrested for what’s being known as “a classy organized prison enterprise” that focus on beef and pork packaging vegetation within the Midwest. Based on Homeland Safety Investigations (HIS), a directorate of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Division of Homeland Safety (DHS), Yoslany Leyva Del Sol, Ledier Machin Andino, and c, all from the Miami, Florida, space have been arrested for transportation of stolen items and cash laundering.

On June 27, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Workplace started an investigation into the theft of a number of semi-trailers and a great deal of frozen beef in Lancaster County, Nebraska.

Within the preliminary investigation, the estimated loss was $1 million. Since June 2021, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Workplace, together with Homeland Safety Investigation (HSI) Omaha, has recognized roughly 45 thefts that occurred throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, totaling $9 million in loss. The investigation, led by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Workplace and HSI Omaha’s Main Crimes Process Drive, decided {that a} Miami-based, extremely subtle organized prison enterprise focused beef and pork packaging vegetation in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

On Oct. 20, HSI Omaha, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Workplace, and the Florida Freeway Patrol, assisted by HSI Miami – El Dorado Process Drive South, recognized and arrested Del Sol, Andino, and Fuentes within the organized prison enterprise, recovering three tractor trailers with stolen merchandise valued at $550,000.

This investigation is ongoing and a part of the HSI Omaha and Lancaster County Sheriff’s Workplace Main Crimes Process Drive.
